Privacy Statement

Information is selected and posted by the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii in the best interest of our clients -- the girls, adult members, volunteers, and communities that we serve. Permission for public relation photos is obtained for each girl from the parent or guardian on the Parent Permission Form (#A1456.FRM) and on the Parent/Guardian Information form (#W1313.FRM). In order to respect the individual's right to privacy and in the best interest of security for our girls and adult volunteers, the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii will:

• post of information and images for Girl Scout public relation purposes to promote the program and for educational interests;
   
• identify minors by first name only;
   
• not use photos of individual girls if they are indentified in any way, even by only first name;
   
• not post addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of girls;
   
• not post Pen Pal notices;
   
• not post location of training sites and other activities;
   
• not post location of camps and facilities other than the headquarters and service centers;
   
• not post addresses of troop meeting places or the dates and times of meetings.
