We’ve created new options to accommodate busy schedules and widespread interests, but kept the traditional ones, too! Get involved:

• In a Troop: Since the beginning, girls have loved the camaraderie of being part of a troop. Make friends in your area, of varying backgrounds and ethnicities.  Together troops agree on what they would like to learn about, then plan and implement their own ideas!  Traditional troops usually meet from October - May.

• As a Juliette Girl Scout: Busy schedules, independence--no matter what your reason, sometimes you just can’t make meetings so consider being a Juliette Girl Scout. A Juliette is a registered Girl Scout, just unattached to a troop and any girl at any program level can do it! If you’re thinking girls miss out, think again! A Juliette works with the same curriculum as every other Girl Scout across the country, and like them, she can tailor her experience to be as unique as she is. As a Juliette a girl will have access to activities sponsored by the troops nearest them. In addition, Girl Scouts of Hawai’i hosts council-wide programs throughout the year so a Juliette is able to have those valuable face-to-face interactions with peers.

• We've created another innovative way to ensure our mission reaches every girl and we're offering this opportunity to girls in 6th grade and above--the first-ever virtual troop and its mission: Take Action to make the world a better place!  Staying true to 21st century trends, this web based troop will make the most out of online meeting venues, social networking, and occasional face-to-face gatherings to Connect, Lead, Inspire, Change, and Keep it going as they assume active leadership roles in tackling a community need.  Nicknamed the C.L.I.C.K. troop, this group of Cadette (grades 6-8), Senior (grades 9-10), and Ambassador level (grades 11-12) Girl Scouts can participate in several staples of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, including but not limited to Girl Scout Cookie sales, working to earn the Girl Scout Silver Award, and the Girl Scout Gold Award.  Whether you're socially savvy, or your busy schedule just doesn't allow for traditional troop meetings, consider connecting with C.L.I.C.K.! Get involved in our pilot program, officially kicking off in Fall 2012, as a troop member or as a volunteer and help foster the future of this group of 21st century leaders by contacting Tiffany Carritt at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Through a Camp Series Pathway: Girl Scouts of Hawai’i’s three camp properties that serve as sacred places for a girl to discover her passion for what our unique island environment has to offer. As she connects with others who share outdoor interests she will build her leadership skills by teaching others how to properly care for the Hawaiian aina, leading activities for younger Girl Scouts, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

• As a Volunteer (Must be 18+ years old): We rely on volunteer support to help us plan and implement enriching activities for girls. Consider becoming part of a troop leadership team and deliver direct service to girls, or help out at our council headquarters. Our volunteers do everything from leading troops, to helping us distribute our annual cookie shipment, to coordinating activities and assisting in event planning, plus much more! You can begin making a difference today by filling out a volunteer interest form.
