Camping Hawaiian Style - Troop CampTraining
For all leaders planning an activity/trip that involves camping at one of the Council’s
three campsites, or “camping” at a non-Girl Scout facility where permanent structures
with running water, bathrooms, and electricity are NOT involved, at least one adult
who has completed Camping Hawaiian Style - Troop Camp Training (TCT) must assist
in the planning process and accompany the group during the camping period.
In order for you to qualify to take your group camping, you must successfully
complete the Camping Hawaiian Style - TCT courses which includes Two Parts
(an “in-town” and an “at-camp” sessions). The “at- camp” session includes
an overnight at one of the Council’s three campsites. Attendance at the overnight
session is mandatory for successful completion of TCT.
Training Fee – $14.00 (covers cost of food) must be received at the Girl
Scout Council office no less than two weeks prior to training date.
(Payments made by credit card will require an additional
$1.00 service charge.)
Refunds - If you cancel by 5:00 p.m.on the Monday before the weekend campout,
we will apply your fee to the next available training. Once the food is purchased,
however, money cannot be reapplied or refunded.
Prerequisite: Group Travel Home-Study and Out and About– Going Beyond the Group
Meeting Minimum students required for course: 8. PLEASE BE ON TIME!
One week prior to class date, the minimum number of people must be confirmed to attend.
If class does not meet the minimum, the class will be canceled.
