Volunteer

You can help make a difference in a girl’s life. Caring adults are the key to what makes the Girl Scout Program work. Research shows that the influence one caring adult has on a child will last a lifetime. No matter what role you have, you are part of a team that's making a difference.

The Girl Scout Program’s growth depends upon our volunteers. Whether you are a mom or dad that wants to spend quality time with your kids, a former Girl Scout, a student or young person, a grandparent or retiree or other adult who wants to help - we need a wide range of volunteers with many different skills and backgrounds in order to reach out to every girl that wants the opportunity to make a difference.

You may choose to work directly with the girls or support other adult volunteers through various positions. We provide training for volunteers at all levels.

As an adult volunteer, you can choose:
The amount of time you want to spend.
The people you enjoy working with most, girls or adults.
The skills you want to develop, enhance or share.
The activities you enjoy.
The interests you want to pursue.
The challenges you want to meet.
The goals you want to set.
The cause you want to endorse.

As a volunteer, you can transform a girl's life as she grows.   We invite you to inquire about the many volunteer opportunities within the Girl Scout program in Hawai'i that could use your talents and skills, including:

Accounting
Business office skills
Camping
Driving for field trips or outings

Making a Difference

A New Beginning...

In 2006, Girl Scouts of Hawai'i began a program for girls whose mothers are incarcerated - Ho‘omaka Hou (a new beginning), based up a national Girl Scout model - Girl Scouts Beyond Bars.
